勒内·弗朗索瓦·吉兰·马格里特René François Ghislain Magritte（1898年11月21日～1967年8月15日）是比利时画家，出生于埃诺省莱西纳，是裁缝父亲利奥波德·马格里特（Léopold Magritte）的长子，母亲则做女帽的销售。童年时常常搬家，10岁时就开始学画，青年时在布鲁塞尔的比利时皇家美术学院就学两年，1918年毕业后曾在壁纸工厂负责花纹设计。1919年，他开始对未来主义和奥费立体主义产生兴趣，并受到大他十岁的意大利画家基里诃的影响，开始了超现实主义的风格。
早期作品包括《会飞的塑像》（1927）和《漂亮的俘虏》（1931）。成熟期的作品色彩更为鲜明，物体位置并列，常以海和天空为题材。代表作有《风云将变》（1928）、《比利牛斯山上城堡》（1959）。早期从事墙纸设计和商业艺术。20世纪20年代与巴黎的超现实主义者交往甚密，并开始潜心作画，宗法超现实主义画风。
